Andalucia Cruet

$45.00

Olive branches representing the Andalucia region of Spain decorate this colorful cruet. Using the centuries-old Majolica technique, red earthenware clay was covered with an opaque white glaze then painted and fired.

Height: 6-1/2”
Width: 2-1/2” to 3-1/4”
Capacity: 16 oz

Spain is the world’s largest producer of olive oil and the majority of production is centered in Andalucia. This and other agricultural activity in the area have led to soil erosion, nitrate pollution, overuse of water resources and habitat loss. Rural development programs are now in place to increase sustainability and improve biodiversity.
