Blue Jay Trinket Dish

$22.00

A bright blue jay accents this small, square dish which could hold jewelry, paper clips, keys or other small items. It could also be used as a coaster. Made with red clay, it was handpainted in the majolica style.

Height: 1/2”
Top Diameter: 4” square
Bottom Diameter: 2-3/4” square

Blue jays often get a bum rap as aggressive and noisy birds. But they’re actually beneficial to other birds in their ecosystem. Their loud calls alert other birds to the presence of a predator. They will also pester raptors to chase them away from an area. And their fondness for acorns is credited for helping to spread oak trees across the U.S.
