Quebec Bowl

$42.00

The glaze pattern on the exterior of this bowl represents the early life forms of fossils found near Quebec in the remains of an ancient ocean floor. The umber/rust background portrays the iron-rich environment of the microbes. The interior of the bowl is a glossy black.

Height: 3”
Top Diameter: 6”
Bottom Diameter: 3”
Capacity: 22 oz

The tiny filament and tube microbes found in the Canadian rocks may be over four billion years old. Heated, mineral-rich water spewed up from the ocean floor through fissures in the sedimentary rocks, creating ideal conditions for life. While life has evolved tremendously since then, humans are now jeopardizing thousands of species of plants and animals by our abuse of the planet and disregard for nature. Every individual can be part of the solution, doing whatever possible to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve/protect our local ecosystems.
