This unique and eye-catching bowl was made from spalted cottonwood. The bowl shape continues up past the wide rim, giving it a second interior rim. Spalting occurs when competing colonies of fungi invade wood and fight for territory, creating black lines, dark streaks and lighter bleached areas. This bowl would be a fabulous fruit or serving bowl, highlighting whatever you put inside it.
